Travel Distance & Time from JRO to Arusha: 55km/1hr

Upon arrival at the airport, our representative will be at the airport to pick you up and transfer
you to Arusha for an overnight stay. The drive from the airport to your hotel is about an hour.

Travel Distance/Time: Arusha – Manyara 130km/2hrs, Manyara – Karatu 40km/45min - 1hr,

After breakfast at your accommodation, you will be collected by your private safari guide and
drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This is a relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of
Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow, salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding

and drying with the seasons and is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird
species.
On your exploration of the park you will see monkeys, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo,
elephant and with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse
landscapes; not only open grassy plains, but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab dotted
cliffs. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and after a further afternoon game drive, you will
head to your accommodation where you can relax and enjoy dinner.

Travel Distance & Time: From Serengeti to Karatu: 209.5km/4hr 8 min,
Road Type: Paved except inside the park
You will enjoy another early breakfast and set off on your game drive at about 6:30 a.m.,
spending 6-7 hours exploring this incredible Park. The Serengeti is the habitat for an abundance
of wildlife, such as impala, buffalo, crocodiles and hippos, but is more well-known for its great
migrating herds of zebras and wildebeest. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and
varies from year to year. Apart from the migrating herds, you may see predators, such as
leopards, cheetahs and lions. At roughly 2:00 p.m. you will head back towards Karatu, arriving
in time for dinner.

Travel Distance & Time: From Tarangire to Arusha: 139.7km/3hr 2 min,
Road Type: Paved except inside the park
After breakfast, you will make the short drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is well
known for its large elephant herds. From the open roof of the vehicle you will experience the
seasonal swamps, savanna and Tarangire River in search of many animals including zebra,
wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and giraffe. It's possible that you will catch a glimpse of a lion
stalking its prey or leopards watching and relaxing in the trees above.
After lunch in the park, you will return to Arusha where your safari ends.
